Knowing the heart of God will put you on the fast track to life transformation and equip you to live your purpose.
Bible Journaling has helped me connect with, apply, and remember God’s Word in a personal way.
When I discovered Bible Journaling I fell in love with my Bible all over again. Adding stamps, paints, specific and intentional prayers on prayer cards has not only engaged my heart but also my mind as I read and remember and truly begin to KNOW the heart of God and the love of Jesus.
My journaling Bible has become a sort of spiritual diary, #MyBibleMyDiary, and it goes with me just about everywhere I go. It has traveled with me on family vacations, and was my lifeline as I traveled through the mission fields of Peru. The book itself doesn’t just travel with me, but it’s words are imprinted on my heart and stay with me on mountain top experiences and in the very low places.
The Bible is God’s love letter to me. My Journaling Bible is my response to Him.
A journaling Bible gives me a place to document what God is revealing to me as I spend time reading even if my only response is, “thank you, Jesus”. It serves as a reminder that I am fiercely loved, approved, chosen and purposed. But, to be 100% clear about why our Bibles aren’t just text books or coloring books. This is for us to be complete and to help us prepare for God’s purpose for our lives.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God[a] may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Here are three specific ways Bible Journaling can help you in your spiritual growth:
- You can document your relationship with Jesus as you observe how His love for humanity is played out while He lives His purpose throughout scriptures.
- You can practice writing more intentional, purpose-driven prayers like Jesus prayed in John 17.
- Your journaling Bible will give you a place to document your worship and record all of your ah-ha moments.
None of us can ever be fully pleasing to God if we are not willing to be well taught in His Word. ~ A.W. Tozer
My hope in sharing and teaching my journaling process is simple; I hope to encourage you to engage God’s word on a creative level, to help you explore your creative side, and give you the tools you’ll need to discover the truth about who God is, and who He says you are SO THAT you can live out your purpose ANCHORED to the truth and hope of Jesus.
