Do you have a clear system for reading, understanding, and remembering the scriptures?
My journaling Bibles have become a sort of spiritual diary, #MyBibleMyDiary ; the place where I work through what I am reading, I document prayers, and I create visuals to help me remember what God is saying to me through the scriptures.
The Bible has often been described as God’s love letter to humanity because it reveals His love for humanity and His plan for our redemption and salvation. My Journaling Bible documents my response to Him.
Sometime my response is lengthy and sometimes it’s as short as “Lord help me to understand”, “God, forgive me” or “Thank you, Jesus!”.
I have taken what I know about Bible Study and what I’ve learned about Bible Journaling and combined them into a CREATIVE BIBLE JOURNALING process to help you read, understand, and respond to His Word.
Let me be clear – this isn’t about an obligation to study. This is an invitation to know God.
“Be still and know that I am God…” Psalm 46:10
We can start with understanding why it is important to engage the Scriptures…
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work”. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
“None of us can ever be fully pleasing to God if we are not willing to be well taught in His Word.” ~ A.W. Tozer
